What are Tools and Technologies?

The QuietAgent Tools and Technology feature gives you the ability to enhance your résumé with a comprehensive listing of tools and technologies you have used.

The 15,000-strong QuietAgent Tools and Technologies database (including equipment, devices, machinery and software) is provided by the Department of Labor’s O*NET Data Collection Program. It includes both generalist and specialist toolsets required to perform over 1400 types of jobs. To add Tools and Technologies:
  • Login to your account using your Email address and Password
  • Click on Tools & Technology in the My Résumé section
  • Click on the Add Tools & Technologies button
  • In the Tools and Technologies box, start typing the name of a Tool or Technology you would like to add. A drop-down list will appear. Use your down arrow key to scroll through the list to see if you can find the Tool or Technology you want; click on your selection, and then click on the small Accept button to the right
  • You can rank your proficiency in each Tool or Technology by clicking on one of the stars (e.g. ‘4 stars out of 5’ in each row)
  • You can also click on the further Tool  and Technology suggestions in the green box to the right, and they will be added for you
  • You can also add your own specialized items to the Tools and Technologies database, simply by typing it in the first box, and clicking on the small Accept button to the right
