Why can’t I edit or add to the skills list? Where does this list come from?

The Skills list is from the US Department of Labor O*Net database (http://online.onetcenter.org/). O*NET is a comprehensive database of worker attributes and job characteristics.

O*NET’s 35 skills reflect the wide-ranging skills required by today's changing workplace, and are broken down into:

  • Basic Skills (Mathematics, Writing, Reading Comprehension, etc.)
  • Cross-Functional Skills (Equipment Selection, Quality Control Analysis, etc.)

The O*NET database is continually improved and updated, and as updates become available, they are integrated into QuietAgent.
